About the show

ARENA EVENTS
Mounted Games Association ~
MGA inter county fast & furious horseback games. Inspired by HRH, Prince Philip, the association provides one of the fastest moving equestrian arena displays in the country. Six teams of young riders on fast ponies compete in a series of obstacle and relay type races. The speed of the ponies and the agility and skill of the riders are breathtaking and combine to produce a colourful, all action arena display. Two fabulous teams from Middlesex compete against themselves and their inter county rivals: Kent, South Berkshire, Sussex and West Sussex. Come and support your favourite Middlesex Team.
Elaine Hill Sheepdog Display ~
Shepherdess, Sheep dog Trainer and Trial Competitor, Elaine Hill demonstrates the skill, intelligence and flexibility of her Border Collies in her entertaining and
educating displays. Appealing to both adults and children the displays are ideal family entertainment. At home Elaine's dogs work sheep, both in a working environment and on the trials field. During displays they work geese and ducks. A typical display includes a collie shepherding geese around a sheep dog trial course and the basics of training a working dog are covered. Ducks are driven around an obstacle course where children are invited into the ring to take part. A parade of ducklings or miniature ducks is the normal conclusion.
Classics Parade ~
Two Grand Parades each day.
Great British Lawn Mower Racing Team ~
features in the Guinness Book of Records with the fastest mower over a set distance and the longest distance travelled by a mower in 12 hours. Disillusioned by the cost of motor sports, Jim Gavin looked out of a pub window and realised that almost everyone had a lawn mower in their shed. With grass roots’ support from 250 members, this motor sport is accessible to all. So cut cutting the lawn this weekend and come and witness of the cheapest form of motor sport in the UK.

MIDDLESEX OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS
Who will you nominate for the Middlessex Outstanding Achievement Awards?
You may consider someone who has demonstrated great bravery or has been a good neighbour. Someone who has devoted himself or herself to caring for others. A volunteer or volunteer group (someone paid or unpaid), who has carried out work selflessly for their community in the town or countryside. Maybe you know a special teacher who is a great educator or a person who continues to work beyond the call of duty. If you know anyone like this they deserve to be acknowledged. Pay them a tribute and allow people to say well done and thank you for making life in Middlesex even more special.
Please set out the main reason why you think the nominee deserves the Award. We are looking for outstanding and innovative service to others, paid or unpaid, but especially selfless service or acts which bring distinction & quality to Middlesex Life. It is important that you give as much detail as possible about their achievement and what makes them stand out against others. Be sure, if using seperate pieces of paper, each piece is clearly marked as to who and what they refer to.
