14th/ 15th August 2010
White Waltham Airfield, Maidenhead, Berkshire SL6 3NJ
The Royal Berkshire Festival of Wings Wheels Speed and Steam had it's maiden outing at White Waltham Airfield and it has to be said that the event surpassed everyone's expectations, with approximately 1,000 vehicles in attendance. These included Steam Engines, Commercial Vehicles, Classic and Vintage Cars, Motorcycles, a huge Rock n Roll contingent comprising primarily of American Vehicles, Traditional Fun Fair Organs, Military Vehicles and Scrambling Bikes, all restored to their owners' and clubs' delight. In addition there were also fifteen static aircraft on display.

The Central Arena saw Parades of vehicles throughout both days with the entertainment being capped off on the hour throughout the afternoon, by two fabulous, gravity defying aerobatic displays and Captain Neville's Vintage Flying Circus. Spectators were captivated by low level flying, just two feet froim the ground at times, and a host of other daredevil stunts.

The Festival had over a hundred trade stands and an Autojumble, all attended by nearly 20,000 visitors over the two days. Plans are in motion to make the Festival bigger and better next year.
