How to Exhibit

We are delighted to tell you that following the increasing success of the Yorkshire Game Fair and the establishment of our Royal County Game Fair, plans and ideas to build on the country pursuits and arena activities have been offered from every quarter.

As you know we have dedicated these two Fairs to be Game Fairs and our continued focus will be the consolidation of both the Yorkshire and Royal County Game Fairs. We will continue to make each activity and section as good as possible for country pursuit enthusiasts, from all walks of life, to enjoy to the full. All this will encourage more and new visiting customers and give our existing customers far more to enjoy, so they stay longer and hopefully buy more.

We are especially grateful to the sporting organisations, BASC, S&TA, PAA, BFC, MLAGB, PUBS, GSI, AETO, PARC and also GWCT, NGO, BDS & NHLS for their huge, ongoing support, invaluable advice and positive encouragement in helping us towards making our events two of the best Hunting, Shooting & Fishing Fairs in the Country.

We believe it is essential to limit the number of each type and overall numbers of traders/exhibitors to ensure that while the two Fairs are growing in visitor numbers, (at an astonishing rate it has to be said), we do not allow the number of exhibitors to expand so much that the opportunity of selling is diluted. We want you to sell and go home very happy.

Clearly your involvement in the Fairs is critical to their success but so is your enjoyment of
the weekend and we don’t want you to feel left out when it comes to the fun side of the Fair. Therefore, we will be holding some evening activities exclusively for exhibitors and staff including music at the bar, clay shooting, ferret racing, guided tours of Harewood House and Mapledurham House & Mill – some of these were enjoyed at the Royal County Game Fair this year, and at Mapledurham next year we will offer a short river cruise on the Thames for you and your colleagues to just relax, have a drink and watch the sun set.

Although the Royal County Game Fair got off to a great start, in the most beautiful of
settings, in hindsight it is clear that this particular July weekend is over indulged with all sorts
of events locally and nationally. To give the Royal County the very best opportunity to
expand at the same rate as Yorkshire, we thoroughly researched the subject and took advice. We now know beyond doubt that there isn’t a free weekend in the calendar, however the least congested, and we hope it suits you, is the third weekend of August.

We cannot recommend strongly enough the Country Pursuits, Sports and Extreme Activities
Weekend a very new approach to Country Activities plus the Great North Country Fair where
all country pursuits will be represented as well as a greater diversity of countryside activities
not permitted at the Game Fairs.
